Split Pea Hummus
YIELD: 4-6 PORTIONS
1 cup | yellow split peas |
2 | cloves garlic, chopped |
1 tbsp | turmeric |
1 tsp | cumin |
1/2 tsp | paprika |
1/2 cup | hemp oil |
Lemon juice to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
- Cook the split peas in simmering water until tender, reserve 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid.
- Transfer the peas to a blender with the reserved liquid. Pulse the blender until the mixture is coarse.
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
- Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
